Our new website is now online.
Instead of the previous php system we now use a pure html system which is much faster.
We try to make a smooth transition with as little broken links as possible.

DirectX renderer performance improved new property THBView.DirectXSettings.WaitForVSync: waiting for the VSync forces the Present function to block and wait for the next vsync which forces your application to 60Hz or 30Hz, otherwise drawing happens immediately which may result in multiple frames shown on screen at once.
Snapping bug with Circle and ellipse geom,etry resolved.

New SVG vector fileformat support.
THBVector can now read SVG files.
Use the THBVector.LoadFromFile function to read SVG files. SVG files should be displayed from back to front, to enforce this displayorder you have to disable the SpatialIndex of vector layers before loading SVG files.

DirectX performance and drawing quality improvements
DirectX lines now have rounded lineends, you can disable them by using the penstyle property of the geometry style.

New DTWAIN32.dll version 2.4.0.9 added.

There are some new Twain events. If you are scanning in Modeless mode you have to replace the AcquirePageDone event by ProcessedDibFinal.

THBAdvancedImgProc upgraded to Intel Performance Primitives(IPP) 6.
DXF Reader performance improved.
OpenGL.dll and glu.dll are replaced by opengl32.dll and glu32.dll, these are part of the windows OS and are no longer part of the THBImage setup which reduces setup size. DirectX rendering improved.
You can now apply DirectX effects to the THBView background, THBImageEdit object and the THBView foreground.
Animation package can now animate directx effect parameters.

OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a collaborative project to create a free editable map of the world. The maps are created using data from portable GPS devices, aerial photography and other free sources.

We have some demos showcasing THBImage displaying different OpenStreetMap (OSM) datasources. We use the advanced geotile THBImage layer to load raster tiles on demand at multiple zoom levels.

You can view our online demo site at www.thbimage.com. Or download our new standalone THBImage Viewer Application which can view some online demos too.

THBImage Viewer is a small and fast raster picture and vector data viewer.
To use it simply extract the files to your harddisk and run the THBImageViewer exe file.

Drag&Drop raster picture files like jpeg, tiff, tga, pcx, … or vector geometry files like dxf, dgn, shp, svg to the application for viewing it.

Right clicking on the application window opens the menu.

THBImage SDK v5.0.5.0 is here.

v5.0.5.0 is the first release containing a full set of 32bit and 64bit binaries.
There is a bin32 folders for 32bit binaries and a bin64 folder for 64bit binaries
We now use MSVCRT90 runtime files instead of 80.
The bin32/system32 folder contains the new runtime files.
All internal libraries updated to 64bit.
Performance improvements.
Now there is one .Net assembly labelled THB.THBImage.dll.
It is now built with platformtype ‘Any’ and will load either 64bit or 32bit dlls depending on the starting executeable platformtype.
All .NET examples are now built with platformtype ‘Any’.

THBImage SDK 5.0.4.1 does no longer require any dependencies nor does it require administrative privileges on the destination machine.
The new YourSetup batch file helps you choosing the right files you need to distribute and helps you creating the smallest possible setup.

What’s new in THBImage SDK 5.0

THBImage SDK now supports ICC color profile transformation. If you enable color profile transformation ICC profiles embedded in TIFF files will be translated to your screen color profile like sRGB.

THBComponentware announces the release of THBImage 5.0 BETA SDK.

EXR is a high dynamic-range (HDR) image file format developed by Industrial Light & Magic for use in computer imaging applications. EXR is used by ILM on all motion pictures currently in production. The first movies to employ EXR were Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, Men in Black II, Gangs of New York, and Signs. Since then, EXR has become ILM’s main image file format.

The new THBImage.NET package also resolves some VisualStudio.NET 2005 issues.
Now there are separate VS.Net 2005 assembly files THB.THBImage2005.dll and THB.THBImageEdit2005.dll that reference .Net Framework 2.0.

There is a THBMagick update available. If you’d like to load any kind of Postscript files like Pdf you have to install the latest Ghostscript release from www.ghostscript.com

You can use the properties starting with .Mag… to affect the THBMagick behavior. To load Pdf files you should define the DPI size prior to loading a pdf. ie.MagDPI = 200 In this way you define the resolution of the displayed image. It is not possible to load a specific page of the pdf.

Today we published an update for our THBImage and THBImage.NET SDK packages.

There is a new VB modeless Twain scanning demo. Instead of blocking your application you can acquire and using your application at the same time.

The Thumbnail control now has 2 new events.

The web demo demonstrates how you can use THBImage SDK in a browser environment. You can use it to scan documents from your scanner and upload them to the server where you can apply various image processing effects. The results can be provided in different fileformats inclusive PDF and TIFF.

First Beta support for THBMag10.dll ImageMagick import/export filter dll. This additional filter dll adds a lot of new file formats like PCT, JBIG, FPX, DCM to THBImage. Fileformats It is currently in a BETA status and we welcome your suggestions and testpicture files.

Incomplete Tiff’s are now displayed without error messages. ImageProperties array contains now Tiff warning and error messages. TIFF OldJpeg compression support but not for all available variants because there are many different kinds of TIFF/OldJpeg formats floating around. Allows you to use smooth drawing on the screen. Setting DrawMode to Smooth activates realtime scale to gray and antialias to produce smoother output on the screen. This is useful for all kinds of pictures but especially for scanned or faxed black and white pictures. THBImage

Now there is a TWAIN AddOn available for THBImage and THBImage.NET. We decided to include the TWAIN software package from DynaRithmic called DTWAIN. In this way we can immediately provide you a full featured TWAIN package that is some years on the market now. THBTwain

The Enterprise Edition contains everything from the Standard Edition, Professional Edition and Region AddOn.

And adds about 100 fast image processing functions ranging from simple algorithmic functions like adding, subtracting images to more complex functions like FloodFill, Dilation, Erosion, Laplacian…

All these functions are highly optimized for the Intel processor family.
