What’s new in THBImage SDK 5.0 viewer

THBImage 4.8 has grown from a simple raster image viewer to a full featured rasterimage processing framework.
The controls and objects consisted of a flat object model with alot of properties, methods and events.
The benefit was a simple to use set of objects, small in size and lightweight to distribute.
We will not throw away all these benefits and keep the previous version 4.8 on the market, although we will not add new features.

Now we stepped over to a new object framework that scales up along with the new functionality that we will add in the coming months.
It in fact was no longer possible to fit all planned functionality into the old framework.
Now it is easier for us to integrate new functionality to the framework and on the other side keeping the available properties and methods structured and easy to find. We will be able to bring out new features faster.

Existing users can read the ‘Migrate’ section in the THBImage.chm for more details how to upgrade to this version.

We do no longer have separate .Net and ActiveX versions of the documentation.
The THBImage.chm contains the complete documentation for all development environments.
The DLL, .NET, ActiveX/Com versions have identical interfaces so all example code can be directly ported between the development environments.
Our licensing system does no longer distinguish between different development environments.
If you own a license you can use it across all supported interfaces, you don”t have to buy separate .Net and ActiveX licenses any more.
THBImage now comes in 5 different Editions

These are some of the new features of THBImage 5.0:

We hope to get some feedback in the BETA phase to be able to release a stable THBImage 5.0 in December.
